I downloaded and installed all the patches for BF2 and when I started installing the 1.5 patch, I was half way through the instillation and it said that my access was denied to a file. Then it completely stopped the instillation and I tried it again and it said I had it installed. Since it said that, i went to play it and it says that the shortcut was changed or moved. Does that mean that I have to uninstall the game and patch it again or is there another way to start the game?Battlefield 2 problem?
You could check the shortcut by right clicking on it and selecting properties.
Target should be "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
Start in should be: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"
Unless you installed it somewhere else.
If that doesn't work, re-install the game and this time make sure you are logged in to windows as administrator when you patch it, or install it by booting into safe mode first.
FYI, you only need to install patch 1.41 and then 1.50.
