You could do with 4Gb RAM cause i have 2gb ram and it uses it all up!

I run it perfectly on highest settings (without AA) and its absolutely no problem.

I have a 2.2Ghz AMD Turion x2

2GB RAM

nVidia 8400M GS (128mb, with 896mb turbo cache)

Vista home premium

Cheers,

Shed

P.S I get about 30-50 FPS which is totally fine!
Make sure you kee an eye on the temp of the graphics card you can over heat them easly. another gig of ram would not hurt. and the rest is ok so I would say yes you have a nice system but I would have gone out for the xp os but to each his/her own!!Is this a good pc for home use and playing games like battlefield 2?
You can upgrade to the 8800GT for around $120 after rebates. It would spank that 8500GT. Not sure what power supply you have 250 watts would be pushing it. 350 watts would be alright. Sell the 8500GT on ebay.
hi jamie

yes mate, this is a capable system and is easily powerful enough for games like batllefield, infact battlefield isnt that demanding and is officially a direct x 9 game

the 2gb of ram is fine and the intel core 2 duo is a decent enough model, the 250gb is plenty of hard drive capacity unless your a video editor and the 19" acer monitor is a good model(i bought the same model for my wife)

the 5.1 realtek audio is not too bad for a onboard sound device and vista is getting better for gaming after the sp1 update

the only advice i can give you jamie is when you can afford it go for a 9 series card such as the XFX GeForce 9600GT 'XXX AlphaDog Edition' 512MB PCI-E(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component鈥?/a>

this is a excellent card for its price tag,and has some excellent specs including a 740mhz core clock and 512mb of ddr3 memory running at 2000mhz

these are excellent specs and with the 256bit memory bus and loads of connectivity options(2 x Dual Link DVI-I, HDTV, S-Video) equates to a pretty amazing all round gaming card

however if money is no object you cant go far wrong than getting the latest technology in the shape of the Zotac GTX 280 1GB PCI-E(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component鈥?/a>

this is a serious peice of hardware and has some serious specifications to go with it

a 602mhz core clock and 1gb of ggdr3 memory running at 2214mhz makes this extremely fast and the 512bit memory bus makes this the card of choice for the proffesinal gamer

games played using this card can be set to max all round with room to spare, for example crysis can be played on max resolution and full AA,AF and still acheiving 90 to 100 frames per second, pretty good eh

any problems let me know

good luck jamie !Is this a good pc for home use and playing games like battlefield 2?
Yeah an excellent computer for home use and its good enough for gaming aswell.
Mr this is the good system for home purpose ok but not for gaming only because the graphic card u have to change
Extremely good pc but better try to increase the RAM by 1-2 GB.
