Battlefield 2 Crashing! (Windows Vista 32bit)?

It never did it before today, strange, I haven't installed anything! I installed BF2 Pirates 2 add-on and it didnt work so I uninstalled it, and BF2 ran fine for hours after. Now, it crashes every time I go into a map. Any multiplayer server, and map, and amount of lag. It crashes within the first 1.5 minutes of joining. No matter what I am doing. No error messages, no reports, just a CTD. (crash to desktop). WTF! It worked forever before this! I reinstalled BF2 twice now, STILL DOESNT WORK! I have the latest patch installed, the latest PunkBuster, everything. :( :( :( My specs: Acer Aspire, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.3GHz processors, 2 GB RAM, over 250GB available space right now with a 320GB drive, (2 drives), NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT 512MB video card, RealTek High Def sound card. Always worked, now it crashes. WTF. WTF. WTF. WTF. How do I fix it if reinstalling doesn't work!? (2 times!) AND BF2 is installed on my "slave" drive not my main one.Battlefield 2 Crashing! Try deleting the Battlefield 2 folder in your My Documents. When you uninstall BF2 it doesn't delete this folder. Delete it and run BF2.



When you delete this you will lose all saved profiles and settings but you can retrieve the profiles from the log-in menu when you click "Retrieve Account"

have you tried a format using latest drivers? that can fix any problems. when did you format last and how old are the drivers your using?
