I have installed 1.41 patch and then the 1.5 patch. I have Windows 7 but it's worked fine in the past. I recently installed Project reality and Skype but that's it. It just started freezing todayWhy Does battlefield 2 keep freezing on me?

Hmm, mine does the same. Not always but occasionally on loading a server or game it freezes and I have to end the process using 'Task Manager'. Can you specify when this occurs to you?
