In battlefield 2,Is patch 1.5 beta can fix the CTD?

I have Vista and I can't play Battlefield 2 since 3 years(2006) because of the Crash to Desktop(CTD) but I try patch 1.4 still the CTD can't fix,

does patch 1.5 beta can fix the CTD I don't want to download that patch because it is too big( 1.3 GB (1,349,587,611 bytes) ) but if that can fix the CTD i can waitIn battlefield 2,Is patch 1.5 beta can fix the CTD?
I can show you how to run bf2 on vista without the newest patch (because for some reason it doesn't want to work). all you have to do is right click the bf2 icon on your desktop, go to properties, then go to the compatibility tab.select run this program in windows 98 compatibility mode, and then go to the bottom and click run this program as administrator. after that, whenever you start up bf2, it will ask you for administrator permission to run bf2. just click yes. after that you should be good to go. this method has worked for me until this new patch came along, but you should still be able to play online with the 1.41 patch installed.In battlefield 2,Is patch 1.5 beta can fix the CTD?
