Mac OS X - 10.5.6 ( 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ) HELP ( Battlefield 2142 disk won't respond )?

I bought a game for my mac around 3 months ago for my mac and it was BattleField 2142, i haven't used it for around 5 weeks, but now when I put the disk in, I my Mac won't Respond to the disk ( the disk cannot be found ), I really want to find out how to get it working so that I can play ONLINE and get upgrades and stuff... pls help !!!Mac OS X - 10.5.6 ( 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ) HELP ( Battlefield 2142 disk won't respond )?
yeah your discs been scratched to much no doubt about it if you know your dvd drive works.



you can try to clean the scratchs of the disk using a very small amount of white toothpaste on a cloth and buffering into the cd, toothpaste will act as a reflector and extend the data (complicated and confusin **** but it works lol)



or as a crazy idea you could try a no DVD crack so you dont need the dvd to play it from gamecopyworld.com just find the one for your version and swap the exe's :)

Is it possible that the game is for Windows only ?Mac OS X - 10.5.6 ( 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ) HELP ( Battlefield 2142 disk won't respond )?
Do you have another computer to try it in? Just to make sure it's not the DVD?



And even if it's a PC disk, the Mac will still read it and see it. So that's not the problem.



Try cleaning the disk... And try another disk to make sure the DVD drive is working. If it's still not working, call EA and talk to them about replacing the DVD.
Try contacting EA Games, for asking on the BF2 forums.
