Battlefield 2 black screens then crashhhhhhhhhh(arghjdhs!!!)?

i downloaded the game battlefield 2 torrent from piratebay that says bf 2 1.5 manual installation bla bla

anyway here it is :

then i run the cmd file inside the torrent that says Run this to install BF2 and your Serials.cmd

i did it and when it all finishes it was in D:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2 because i didn't have enough space in C.Anyway it continued extracting files and then i saw some errors in it, but i ignored it.the error is like the kind that says access is denied bla bla even im the administrator.Then i was asked to put a serial for battlefield 2 so i inserted one from the internet.it says it failed but continue to ask my special forces cd key.well i didnt know there was special forces in the torrent i downloaded because it didnt say so.i found one in the net and entered it. :p sorry...It then skips it to and i closed the cmd.IT said i would make desktop shortcuts but i didn't see one for bf2

so i went to the directory and opened bf2.exe. A black screen opened.Yes! i thought after two second boom it went back to the screen like i never pressed bf2.exe.in short, it crashed.I tried to find campatibility issues and it recommended me to set the compatibility to windows xp sp2.it was fine with me but still after i set it, it still has the same problem.then i tried windows vista and still it doesnt work. I noticed that everytime i opened bf2.exe after it crashed(and came back to the desktop) there is some kind of screen reloading that first the screen is kind of dim then it slowly gets brighter and brighter and stops at my current configuration.pls help

Assuming you two have the exact same problem this is a monitor refresh error, a very common bug among others, with the game. You will need to manually adjust the refresh rate outside the game setting it to 60. Atm your settings will probly be 80 which is causing your crash. if all else fails delete the entire profile settings, you will be reverted to defaults and your favorites list will be gone, but this should work. Again try to fix the refresh rate first.





*edit* btw FM your meeting the bare minimum on RAM for this game and when they say minimum they mean it. Your going to have problems all over without atleast 1gb.
